Bank Holiday Beer Festival

Our first mini Beer Fesival….

Every one is someone’s favourite!

We will be having a range of beers that are well known and in most cases are award winners. None of these have appeared at the Engine Room before but some of them have been requested!

Obviously we have to maintain social distancing and other Government guidelines surrounding Covid-19, but we hope that the weather will be kind to us and people will be able to drink outside. We will have 6 inside tables and remember if there are 4 or more of you then you can book a table..just drop us a msg here

Opening hours for the event will be:

  • Friday 28th August – 3pm-9pm

Thornbridge Jaipur

IPA – 5.9%

With over 100 worldwide awards, this American style IPA has a complexity of flavours created by a six-dimensional hop experience. Jaipur’s hoppiness builds in the mouth and bursts with powerful citrus fruit flavours, culminating in a remarkably smooth finish and making it a deliciously drinkable IPA.

Hops: Chinook, Centennial, Ahtanum, Simcoe, Columbus, Cascade

Harvey’s Best

Best Bitter – 4.0%

A superbly balanced bitter with prominent hop character. Using a blend of four local hops, water filtered through the Sussex Downs over 30 years, and Harvey’s unique 60 year old yeast strain, Harvey’s Best Bitter is the embodiment of Sussex.

Hops: Fuggles, Goldings, Progress and Bramling Cross

Burning Sky Plateau

Pale Ale – 3.5%

Pale gold in colour, with a crisp malt edge and sharp bitterness. Plateau has been hopped at different stages of the brew, with a big mix of US & NZ hops to satisfy the discerning drinker. Full in flavour, zesty, refreshing & low in alcohol, this beer will have you returning to the bar for another.

Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout

Milk Stout – 4.5%

Multi award winning smooth creamy stout. The original Bristol Milk Stout with smooth chocolatey sweetness and balancing coffee bitterness with hints of dark fruits. This award winning national champion stout is a beautifully creamy, full-bodied stout.

Hops: Challenger, Fuggles

Tiny Rebel Cwtch

Red Ale – 4.6%

Cwtch (rhymes with butch) means a hug full of Love.

Welsh Red Ale. Citrus and tropical fruit dominate the taste that is backed up with caramel malts to balance the moderate bitterness. Champion Beer or Britain in 2015.

Hops: Citra

Oakham Citra

Session IPA – 4.2%

Light gold in colour, bursting with citrus and tropical hop flavours and sensationally refreshing. Champion Golden Beer of Britain in 2019

Hops: Citra (100%)

Marble Pint

Bitter – 3.9%

Session ale brewed with an all pale malt bill and then hopped with a blend of New Zealand and US hops. A burst of zesty aromas, uplifting grapefruit flavours and a subtle lemongrass finish.

Hops: Lemon Drop, Nelson Sauvin, Dr Rudi and Citra
