Farewell to High Weald

Today we poured our last pints of High Weald Chronicle and Off The Chart. This was the last of the High Weald beers now that the Brewery is closed. It’s always sad to see a brewery close, but even more so when it is one so local and so much appreciated by your community.

Andy decided to shutdown and sell the brewery at the end of last year, and it understood that the equipment is destined for a new start somewhere in Derbyshire, where it is hoped it will be used to make beers as much loved and sought after as those that Andy has created over the last 10 years.

It is rumoured that Andy may return to small batch brewing at home so who knows what may appear in the months and years to come! Either way we wish Andy all the best for the future.

Let’s all raise a glass to Andy and High Weald Brewery…cheers!

Stay ALEert – Drink Beer!
