NOTE: Outside drinking will be restricted to 10pm in consideration of our neighbours

The Burner is Back!

Yes, Andy is back brewing again, and we have a fresh cask of Charcoal Burner just tapped and ready to go!

It’s an Oatmeal Stout and has always been very popular with our regulars.

To find out more about the return of High Weald Brewery see the website and twitter. To find our some more about the brewery, read the feature from Original Gravity here.

We also have 500ml bottles of Charcoal Burner and Andy’s Golden Ale, Greenstede, available: £4 each or £3.50 if buying 3 or more.

Week 3 ..the wind doth blow

…AND THE BEER DOTH FLOW!

Thanks again for all the support and for those that braved the wind and rain at on Bank Holiday Monday; sorry we closed on Tuesday but a rest was needed!

Highlights included: the return of the Beer Stick, a 9.2% Imperial Stout, and another cask from the resurrected High Weald Brewery, this time Chronical!

Don’t forget if you want to book a table email us here

Week 2 – Still Standing..

Another great week, thanks for all the support…the team are starting to feel the stairs and some of us have aches and pains in places we didn’t know could hurt so much!

But on the plus side much beer and cider has been drunk and we hope we have contributed to the overall welfare of our customers as they can at last socialise again.

Sadly due to my beer pouring duties in the downstairs bar I have not been able to circulate as much as I would like and I, for one, will be glad when we are back to normal, but the outside space has been a great success and the weather has been kind to us.

Here’s to Week 3!

Week 1 ..a BIG THANKYOU

We made it!

Thanks to everyone that came up this week and braved the cold to support us. Some great beers were consumed and we met some great customers, some old, some new! Thanks also, for the great pictures, comments and reviews, we really do appreciate it.

Also, great to see so many four-legged friends…need to get some more scooby snacks!

Finally, it’s great to see that Andy and High Weald are brewing again, looking forward to tasting some of his beers in the coming weeks, old favourites and some new!

Here’s to week 2…roll on 21st June!!!
